Within the Medical Strategy, Transformation and Excellence team, the Medical Innovation function serves as the enterprise incubator for high-impact innovation across Medical Affairs. The team operates at the intersection of medical science, data, and digital technology — building future-state capabilities, testing breakthrough

solutions, and partnering with GBUs and Digital teams to ensure innovation creates measurable impact for patients and the business. The Global Lead, Medical Intelligence to Strategy is the analytical and strategic engine of the Medical Innovation organization. This role is built to architect the fundamental shift from retrospective data reporting to forward-looking, predictive medical intelligence — owning the Medical Care Gaps framework, driving the data strategy for Medical Affairs, and building predictive analytics capabilities (including Medical Plai) that empower evidence-based decision-making across Medical GBUs. Operating within the Medical Innovation incubator model, this leader identifies, use cases, and defines KPI frameworks for next-generation medical intelligence tools before handing off scaled solutions to operational pillars. Main Responsibilities Strategic Medical

Intelligence & Data Leadership Define and own the Medical Intelligence roadmap, shifting Medical Affairs from "reporting data" to "predictive strategy" — forecasting medical trends, anticipating unmet needs, and enabling forward-looking decision-making across GBUs Build and lead the Data Strategy framework that connects clinical evidence, real-world data, field insights, and digital health data streams into a unified, actionable intelligence layer for Medical Affairs Champion Medical Plai and other predictive analytics platforms, overseeing their design, testing, and integration into Medical Affairs planning and decision-making workflows Own and evolve the Medical Care Gaps identification and analysis framework, ensuring it drives meaningful prioritization across GBU Medical strategies and evidence generation plans Lead the development and optimization of MedIS (Medical

Insights Engine) capabilities to ensure data accessibility, quality, and strategic utility across the Medical Innovation ecosystem Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for Medical data and analytics capabilities, aligned with GBU priorities and the broader Medical Innovation agenda Innovation Incubation, Test & learn Function as the primary incubator for medical intelligence innovations — scout emerging data science and AI/ML capabilities, test use cases in partnership with Digital, and define rigorous success metrics before recommending enterprise-wide scaling Collaborate with the Global Head of Medical Innovation and Digital Partners to select and validate AI/ML use cases relevant to medical intelligence and predictive analytics Design proof-of-concept initiatives for new intelligence tools, establishing KPI frameworks and governance checkpoints before transition to operational

teams Partner with peer Global Leads (Scientific Platforms, Health Ecosystem, Innovation Expansion) to ensure medical intelligence insights feed into and enrich all innovation initiatives across the team Integrate Medical Intelligence outputs into core Medical processes including Medical Planning cycles, Care Gap prioritization, and evidence generation strategies Stakeholder & GBU Partnership Serve as the embedded intelligence partner to Medical GBUs, spending meaningful time within GBU leadership meetings to ensure pull-through of predictive analytics capabilities and alignment on data priorities Translate complex data science and predictive analytics concepts into clear, actionable strategic narratives for senior Medical, Commercial, and Digital leadership Represent the Medical Intelligence function in the Medical Innovation Council, contributing to DAI (Decide, Advise, Inform)

healthcare contexts About You Leadership & Skills Analytical leader with the ability to build strategic narratives from complex, multi-source data environments — translating data science outputs into clinical and commercial strategy without relying on technical jargon Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment on data strategy without direct authority, building credibility with both Medical and Digital stakeholders Strong program management skills with experience leading global analytics or data strategy initiatives in matrixed environments Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical data ecosystem, including real-world evidence, claims data, EHR integration, and digital health data streams Passion for innovation at the intersection of data science, medical strategy, and digital transformation — with a demonstrated track record of turning insights into action

pillars to deliver integrated, high-impact outcomes Experience & Qualifications 10+ years of experience in Medical Affairs, Data Strategy, Real-World Evidence, Healthcare Analytics, or a related field within a pharmaceutical or healthcare organization Advanced scientific, medical, or quantitative degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, or Master's in Data Science, Biostatistics, Health Informatics, or equivalent) strongly preferred Demonstrated experience with AI/ML applications in healthcare, including predictive analytics, natural language processing (NLP), or real-world evidence platforms Proven track record of designing or leading data strategy or medical intelligence programs in global, matrixed environments Experience with Medical Information Systems and/or pharmaceutical data platforms strongly preferred Excellent communicati...
